With up to 50% higher cutting speeds and 100% more tool life than HSSE taps, Prime X-Coated are ideal for universal performance tapping a wide range of materials including steel, stainless steel, cast iron, exotics and non-ferrous. These are ultra reliable due to the special thread structure which reduces torque and prevents overfeeding. The premium powder metal substrate ensures a tough chip resistant cutting edge, whilst the unique X-coating offers high heat and wear resistance.
